It was a gorgeous Friday morning after a busy night at work. Around 1am a little old lady who fell is sitting on her bed talking to us as calm as could be when she lifts up her arm and says, "Yeah, i fell but i think I'm okay.." as she shows us the compound fracture of her arm with the bone coming right through the skin. "Should i push it back in?" she says. Wow. After splinting her arm, we had just placed her on the stretcher when we heard a call come out on the radio. Double shooting. Our territory. We get on scene to frantic family members running in the street and two patients down on the front porch. Drive by. Those involved were somehow only shot in their lower legs. Very lucky seeing the number of yellow police markers marking all the shell casings in the street. I counted a full dozen just before we loaded the second patient into the second arriving ambulance. i jumped inside and we rushed her to Memorial.The hectic night eventually eased into a chill morning. I didnt expect the day to turn into a marathon out with friends. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Left house at 2:45pm. B&J's, Politics, Niko's, Molly's, Katz 21, Izzy's happened. Arrived back at house at 2:45am. The End.

"I'm in an odd pattern over the last few weeks where I take off for lunch and never come back." I feel like I've said that 10 times over the last couple weeks. I'm sure ill snap out of it soon enough. Inevitably a long marathon Friday turns into an easy Saturday, and I thoroughly enjoyed that.
The easy Saturday was just what the doctor ordered before Sunday at the station. I think tomorrow is gonna be a full day. Dallas is winning on Sunday Night Football so on that note I think I'm gonna try and get some shut eye. Someone posted this yesterday on Facebook. I thought it was pretty cool. Enjoy.
