I clearly remember reading in the LA Times back in 2005 and trying, quite hard I might add, to pick up my jaw from my desk: in it's inaugural year, dineLA would showcase more than 100 restaurants in Los Angeles to offer both lunches and dinner (tastings) well below menu prices!
As a self-proclaimed foodie, dineLA was everything I was looking for: Not only could I enjoy the restaurants I loved, I would (soon) discover new dining obsessions.
dineLA also gave me the opportunity to impress a client with my (obscure) foodie knowledge while staying within a budget. dineLA was the reason I started exploring Culver City, and the reason my husband has been opening to discovering the Downtown LA dining scene.
This year I am SOO excited - like a little girly excited - that I might go to 10 places, instead of my typical five! This is why: I present to you the list of 12 days of culinary potentials for this years dineLA.
(I wasn't joking when I said I was a foodie!)
Deep inside I know that dineLA wasn't created for me, but it does speak to me...as I hope it does to others that love good food as much as I do.
