After feeling sick with a head cold during a wet, dreary weekend last week, the days turned from dreary to nice and the week was a good one. I found out that a cupcake in the mail on Valentine's day makes your head cold feel less head-coldy.

Tuesday evening was a productive one for my side business. The top money earner came into town and showed the numbers to a packed house. Spent the night with good company and good food. It's nice to have a multi-millionaire in your corner.
Friday was a fun night. Hockey game followed by a few pubs and even a trip up a fire escape to get a better view. Finally had a few words for the tall guy who'd been following me all night, too.
And finally to Saturday out at Station 16 yesterday. It's not too often i get sent out there, but when it happens, it's almost always a quiet shift. I make sure to say 'almost' because i've been sent out there thinking i was gonna have a easy one only to be up all night at a huge 2 alarm fire as a furniture store burned down, but that wasn't in the cards last night. The fire gods played by the rules yesterday and gave us a quiet shift. Out by the beach and not a soul in site. We had a good breakfast, did several hours of hose testing and finished the evening with a good steak on the pit.
