Dr. Jovanna Radillo
When we brought Princess Maya to our family, we made the concerted effort to change most anything associated with Chatito to avoid prolonging our pain (due to his sudden loss).
One of those changes was to look for a new vet that we could develop a relationship with, and Maya with him (or her). We tried a couple of veterinarians before a neighbor recommended that we look into the Banfield Puppy Plan at Petsmart.
In layman's terms, the Puppy Plan is a (fee-based) preventative wellness plan that ensures that your furry baby receives all his (or her) vaccinations, spaying (or neutering), along with all the Vet visits needed to keep your worries at bay.
Although most vets at Banfield that we met were kind, attentive and knowledgeable, I immediately felt comfortable when meeting Dr. Jovanna Radillo.
Dr. Jovanna Radillo is a "new," but an educated and passionate Vet that not only cares about her "job," she believes in developing a relationship with furry baby parents...because she is one herself!
A graduate of the top veterinary school in the country, UC Davis, Dr. Radillo, is an Angelino and a proud Mexican-American woman.
As a new furry baby parent, that had only recently lost my previous pup, my worries and concerns were probably a bit over-the-top at times, but Dr. Radillo knew what to do and how to keep my worries in check.
As I settled into my new role as Maya's mama, Dr. Radillo and I had several conversations about the importance of educating new furry baby parents (and experienced ones!), about the proper care of our four-legged children.
From using shoes to prevent grass allergies (yes, it happens!), to finding the right food combination to prevent unwanted gas (a common problem), Dr. Radillo has been my go-to advisor...and has agreed to become yours too!
Starting this week, and every Friday, we will be sharing tools, tips and other valuable advice for Furry Baby parents that will help you enjoy your four-legged children a lot more!
