Do you ever wonder what goes through someone's head?
I think we all do...
and the creative heads (no pun intended) at Disney Pixar picked-up on our curiosity and created "Inside Out," their newest animated feature film which opens TODAY Friday, June 19.
Based on Riley's life, a bubbly 11 year old girl who lives a typical fun-filled life with her parents in the MidWest, the movie takes an "emotional" turn when she's uprooted to San Francisco.
The magic that is Inside Out starts when audiences meet the playground, of sorts, inside of Riley's brain/head. We then meet the (major) feelings that drive her life: Anger, Fear, Sadness, Joy and Disgust.
Inside Out then takes us through Riley's various emotional stages of her life. Meeting those feelings and how they interact with each other, and ultimately create Riley's personality grab the attention of young moviegoers, while adults see a visual of their feelings with comical and sometimes over-the-top comedy.
In the end we all leave Inside Out with a better understanding of how emotions, even those we all try to avoid, work together to make us uniquely us.
But most importantly, Inside Out shows us that while we want to live a Joyful life, Sadness is actually something that is needed to appreciate our world...and all feelings, no matter what they are, work together and should be valued.
