I think i'm trapped in a neverending vacation. It's been great, and i'm finally on the home stretch. One last weekend of going nuts before i get to plug back into reality. This weekend i'm going to the Cowboys/Giants Sunday night game. If you watch it on tv look for me. I'm tall. You'll see me.
Last night was another fun night out. Hector had texted that he wanted to hit up Surf Club for $2 Tuesday. They have a ton of beers on tap and for $2 you can't go wrong. Javier, Z and Rubie were there along with some other friends of Hector's. I didn't even realize it but it was Hector's 34th birthday. I'll drink to that. Surf Club closes early, so after several cold ones, some quesadillas, and good music outside (the Scarecrow People were playing tons of beatles songs=awesome) we walked over to Lizardo's. I had never been. It's a good chill spot. Like a downtown Recess. There's even an outside area in the back where Javier says they'll show old cult classic movies projected onto the neighboring building's wall. We had a good time there. The bartender was a cute girl on her first day on the job. And then we came in. Poor girl. She never had a chance. Ah, good times. We played a game with her where me and Hector tried to guess her name. Who would've thought it would be that hard to guess "Jessica"? The funniest part was when she was trying to give us a clue by telling us how many letters were in it. Watching her count them off on her fingers was equal parts sad & cute. She was cool though. Probably playing up the part of ditzy bartender to get a bigger tip i'm sure. It probably worked. I think i invited her to Thursday night. Oh yeah, Thursday night it's $2 pints at Jack Ash's. Did i mention my neverending vacation? Anyway, Lizardo's was cool. I liked it. Hector did too.
The girls went home and Me, Javier and Hector made our way down the street. Javier had done recon a few minutes earlier and let us know Rockit's was dead so Mulligan's it was. We ended the night there at Mulligans after a couple drinks. Hector had to work in the morning so it wasn't a close down the bar kind of night. Good times had by all. Looking forward to Thursday.
