I didn't want to write a blog post to share how I fell in love, because truthfully, it's happened more than once in my life: To my fourth-grade crush in white board pants, to my neighbor in Mexico, to my South American soccer player, and to Chatito - the love of my life.
Each time I fell in love it was hard, it was tummy-churning, different, but never life-altering. Eventually I met the man that would become my hubby...and experienced fireworks on my lips the first time we kissed.
Through our daily bickering, life circumstances, and everything else around us, I forget, we forget, that we can still create a firework display with a simple kiss. We forget that it was inevitable that we meet and eventually marry.
But then I saw this animated video, and remembered that an odd list of circumstances led me to inevitably meeting my hubby: The one man that I happily committed to loving for the rest of my life; even though I (had previously) promised myself that I would never get married.
Two years later...
Hubby and me celebrating our two-year anniversary in Hotel del Coronado
So when you are ready to give-up on love, remember, that when things are meant to be, they will be....in their own time. Here's to hope and love...
Happy Valentine's Day,
