The past few months, I have engrossed myself to blogging and a lot of office work. I told myself, "I seriously need some pampering." All of these thoughts were finally answered, thanks to Dermcare Luxe Wellness and Spa. I was scheduled to have their VIP Whitening Facial Mask on a Saturday morning. Phew! It was a total relief. My face is not really making me feel satisfied because of some lumps and bumps it got, so the news was really overwhelming. I could finally get my face cleansed.
A very nice scent of eucalyptus welcomed me and Ram as we entered the place. It's really cozy and relaxing. Just as you are a few steps aways from their door, you can already smell the relaxing scent.
I met Miss Genalyn and she assisted me on filling up a questionnaire check list for illnesses and any medical conditions I had or having for them to make sure that it'll be alright for me to have the facial and nothing bad happens aftermath. She also assisted me on my way to starting the facial treatment.
It's unfortunately prohibited to take a lot of pictures inside the room because there were also other clients having their sessions. We were only allowed to take pictures of where I was placed.
This is what they call their stage area where I was going to have my facial session. Sadly, I forgot the name of the person who handled me. Nonetheless, she was really kind and gentle to me. She let me wash my face first before I got to the stage area. Then I lied down and the facial began.
I wasn't really good at asking a lot of questions, but good thing, the one who handled me was vocal and told me the steps and a few details of what she was doing with my face.
Moisturizing Some kind of a cream/moisturizer was put on my face.
Steaming Then, my face was steamed (as you can see in the previous picture) to open up my facial pores.
VacuumingAfter 15-30mins (as I estimated), the excess moisture on my face was removed using a small vacuum.
Pricking This was the part that stung and hurt a little. It's called the pricking where a thin metal rod is used to removed your whiteheads, blackheads, pimples and fatty deposits. The metal rod was also accompanied with a very tiny needle for easier removal. The one who handled me was amazed because I wasn't really reacting to the pain of the pricking. Well, it's probably because I didn't feel any of it that much. Maybe a little, but it didn't really hurt, until this one fatty deposit an inch under my eye came next. That fatty deposit was slightly big and it has been growing on my face for years now. I was relieved when she told me that it'll be removed but also a little nervous of the process. It hurt because it's near my right eye, and she's strongly pressing a metal rod to get rid of it. It took some time to finally remove it. Fortunately, I survived it by thinking that it's not even close to delivering a baby. We all know that. Either you're already a mother or not, we know that delivering a child is no joke. Ate showed me the fatty deposit that she removed from my face. I felt so light after seeing it not lying on my face anymore. She also told me that fatty deposits should be removed immediately before they harden for they'll be difficult to remove and will be leaving obvious holes on your face right after. I'm really happy it was already eliminated from my face. She also showed me all the other dirt she took out and it was totally satisfying, and worth the pain actually!
AntibioticAn antibiotic was applied all over my face after the pricking to prevent irritation/infection.
LaserAn antibacterial laser was rubbed on my face, which smelled like iron.
Whitening She stroked my face with her fingers to even everything and then placed cucumbers on my eyes and started applying the whitening facial mask all over my face and left it for 15 minutes.
Anti-inflammatoryFor the last step, she applied an anti-inflammatory gel since my pores were swelling from the procedure. It'll help my pores to recover for a couple of days.
Before the session started, ate asked me if I have experienced facial before and where do I avail that service and I answered it was my first time. She also asked me if I apply anything on my face and I said that I only wash my face with water and soap after I remove my makeup. She said that water and soap are not enough to remove dirt from the face and that I should apply some toner in the morning and in the evening before going to bed. I took her advice, but I forgot to buy a toner from them. Good thing, my younger sisters have a toner so I just used theirs for the mean time. I'm a toner girl now! Haha. It really cleanses the face especially after applying it before going to bed. I can totally see all the removed dirt on the cotton ball even after I properly wash my face.
