One of my three photos being exhibited.
The drama, yes drama, of returning to college for a new degree is a bit overwhelming after being out of school for many years (I'm in my 40's, so do the math).Initially, my goal was to update my skill set, but after staying at SMC for a semester longer than intended, I realized that I needed, and wanted, to do more than update my skill set. I needed to pivot...
So with the push and simple suggestion of "why don't you take a photography class?" made by my friend Ashley, I did.
This was not the road I intended on going on, but here I am.
I have never been as challenged, committed, driven, and absolutely in love with what I do as much as I am now.
As busy as I am, still trying to maintain a bit of work (because, relevancy), while carrying a full course load and a few other behind the scenes something-or-others, not to mention being a wife (and that takes time, mind you), I have been a seeking opportunities to showcase my work to double-check on my potential talent, or not.
Well, if this isn't a sign, I don't know what is... :)
So if you are available and want to join me to celebrate not one, not two, but THREE of my photos being exhibited at one of the top photography programs in the country, please do.
I promise to maintain calm over the giddiness I am for certain going to be feeling on my first photography exhibition!
