These new Pick Up! biscuits from Bahlsen come in packs of 5 and are individually wrapped. I was sent a rather generous amount of them to review from a PR agency and they've been going down a treat with my family.
Each bar contains 143 calories and is made up of a thick layer of milk chocolate sandwiched between 2 biscuits. The cocoa used is UTZ certified and they contain no added preservatives, artificial colours or hydrogenated fats. You can pick up a pack for around £1.69.
I have to admit that I didn't get particually excited when these biscuits turned up, they sounded a bit...well...plain! I don't usually get excited about biscuits full-stop, unless they are interesting flavours or loaded with chocolate and I don't think I appreciated how much chocolate there was in these bars! The layer of chocolate is thicker than any other biscuit I think that I've had and it's nice chocolate too. The biscuits themselves are pretty darn tasty and I found the 28g bar quite satisfying.
VerdictI didn't expect to be giving Pick Up! biscuits full marks but they really are good. It is such a simple idea but executed perfectly!
