Beech's have just recently launched a new range of chocolate bars and I was very excited to be sent all 6 to review because having now tried a few of their products I have always been impressed with the quality of their chocolate.
The new bars contain only natural ingredients, are gluten free and suitable for vegetarians with the dark chocolate bars also suitable for Vegans. Each bar comes in a cardboard sleeve and is wrapped in plastic. They weigh 60g each and contain approximately 110 calories per 20g.
The Milk Chocolate with Anglesey Sea Salt was instantly snapped up by Mr Review Addict as he loves salty chocolate. I really enjoyed this bar too as the saltiness was quite subtle and it complimented the chocolate rather than over-powered it which can be the can with some other bars. The Milk Chocolate bar was really nice too, the chocolate was rich, creamy and smooth.
There are 3 dark bars in the range; Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate with Natural Ginger and Dark Chocolate with Lime & Chilli. I love Beech's dark chocolate, it is one of my favourites as it has absolutely no bitterness to it so the plain bar went down a treat. The flavoured bars with both very interesting, the Lime & Chilli had some very strong flavours but I preferred the more subtle Ginger bar.
My absolute favorite of the all bars was the White Chocolate. This is the first time that I have tried Beech's white chocolate and I have to say that it is some of the nicest I have tasted! It was creamy with a hint of vanilla and just the right amount of sweetness.
Verdict
A good varied range of bars from Beech's and I hope that there might be more flavours in future, especially more involving the white chocolate! The 60g bars are available from the Beech's online shop for £1.50 each, or you can buy a 12 pack for £14.99.
