REVIEW! Bonjour French Food Subscription Box - November
Posted on the 18 November 2013 by Thereviewaddict @TheReviewAddictLast month I was sent a lovely box of food to review by Bonjour French Food. They are a subscription box service who will deliver you a lovely section of foods from across the Channel each month with prices from £29. For more details you can check out my previous review here or the Bonjour French Food website.
I was delighted to be sent another box this month and even more delighted when I saw that one of the products was another baking mix from Marlette. I absolutely adored the Chocolat Au Fondant mix from October's box, so much so that I have stocked up on this stuff. I have high hopes for this bread and can't wait to try it out.
These little savoury crackers from Michel et Augustin are really good! The biscuits are buttery and the pepper flavor is quite strong, they are quite addictive little things.
Also included this month was a quail Terrine from Comtesse du Barry, a Tomatine from Marc Peyrey which is a tomato based sauce that can be eaten on bread or used as a sauce, and my favorite product this month: an olive tapenades. The tapenades from Aix and Terra is really rich and salty and I've been having it on toast and it's delicious!
The sweet product this month is also rather delicious and is a caramel and apple compote from Favols. This goes really nicely with a baked apple but I will also be having it warm with ice cream!
VerdictI really enjoyed November's box and although there were not as many sweet products this month, I thought that there was a better selection of the savoury ones. The little magazine included was handy but like last month the English could do with a bit of improvement. I did however notice that they used a different courier this time and I have to say that it much more organised.
