REVIEW! Border Biscuits Made For Sharing
Posted on the 21 February 2013 by Thereviewaddict @TheReviewAddictDay 4 of Border Biscuits Week and this time I am reviewing 4 biscuits at once because this is a pack designed for sharing! This was also recently reviewed by Katherine at Grocery Gems here and she gave this pack 10 out of 10 so I had high expectations for these biscuits.
The Made For Sharing pack contains 4 Milk Chocolate Viennese Whirls, 6 Butterscotch Crunch biscuits, 4 Strawberry and Cream Shortbreads and 4 Toffee Apple Crumbles, all which sounded delicious.
The Viennese Whirls look gorgeous, they have a pretty swirl design and are coated on one side with milk chocolate. The shortbread is light and buttery and has a hint of vanilla, they really are as good as I have heard.
The Butterscotch Crunch biscuits are thinner which is why you get more of these. They are very sweet and like the shortbread, they have a buttery taste. The texture is much more crunchy than any of the other biscuits that I have reviewed this week and the little bits of butterscotch are delicious.
The Strawberry and Cream Shortbreads are very sweet and the strawberry flavor is really good with the rich shortbread. I much preferred the texture of the strawberry pieces compared to the candied orange that I reviewed earlier in the week.
The Toffee Apple Crumbles are were my favorite in this sharing pack and probably my favorite biscuits that I have reviewed so far this week. The biscuit is crumbly and toffee pieces are quite crunchy but the star of the show is the apple chunks, they are just delicious and juicy. The combination of flavours in this biscuit is fantastic.
Verdict
All of the biscuits in this pack are excellent in their own right, the flavours are imaginative and all of them taste great. Full marks from me!
