Miami Slice
I kept hearing things about Byron and their burgers so yesterday Mr Review Addict, my in-laws and I took a trip to Kingston which is our nearest branch.I was surprised that we got seated so quickly as it was a Saturday lunch time and they took our drinks orders straight away. There are few non-burger dishes like steak, chicken or salad but it's clear where Byron's focus is as the menu is predominantly burgers and there were plenty of options to choose from. I decided to go with the limited edition Miami Slice which was a 6oz hamburger, crispy potatoes, spicy salami, American cheese, and smoked paprika ketchup, all in a sourdough bun. You also get a side of pork scratchings and a little pot of Byron's hot sauce. There are pickles in my picture, these didn't come with my burger but I stole everyone else's because I love them!
You can choose fries or salad with your burger and I went for salad and I also shared some Courgette Fries with my mother in law.
Courgette Fries
I know that to many it is just plain wrong but I like my burgers well done so I asked for that and when it arrived it even had a little flag stuck in it saying it was well done. I was impressed that the salad was a decent one, it was quite a big bowl and had a nice vinaigrette style dressing on it.The burger was perfect, the meat was delicious and even though it was well done, it wasn't over done and the texture was still soft. I loved the little crispy potatoes and it had a bit of a kick from the salami and the paprika ketchup. The pork scratching were not my thing but I knew this before I ordered this burger so I left these, I did however love the hot sauce which I dipped my delicious crispy courgette fries in.
VerdictByron did not disappoint, this is easily one of the best burgers I've had in ages and I guarantee we will be visiting again soon...next time I want to try dessert!
