I purchased this Cadbury Pinky a little while ago from The Stateside Candy Co. in Aldershot. This is actually a bar from New Zealand. It is marshmallow and caramel covered in Dairy Milk chocolate. This is a 40g bar and contains just 157 calories, marshmallow is low in fat so the bar boasts that it contains 50% less fat per gram than the average of leading chocolate bars.
I have heard that Dairy Milk from New Zealand is different to what we have in the UK and it did taste a bit less creamy but they seem to have changed the recipe here in recent times too because even our Dairy Milk doesn't seem as good as it used to. All that aside, the chocolate was still nice.
The marshmallow filling had a spongy texture and was quite sticky. The layer of caramel is quite thin and I couldn't really taste it.
Verdict The Cadbury Pinky was nothing special, marshmallow is quite bland and there wasn't enough caramel for my taste. If you are looking for a big chocolate bar with fewer calories then this is a good choice but I would rather have a little bit of something with a bit more taste.
