These Cheetos were sent to me to review by monstersweets.co.uk. They are an online shop who not only sells loads of American snacks and groceries but also European products too. As a big fan of American snacks I am pretty disgusted with myself for having never tried Cheetos before. These particular Cheetos are the Cheetos Crunchy variety and to me they look rather similar to NikNaks which just happen to be one of my favorite crisps!
I was sent 2 flavours to review: Cheese, and Cheddar Jalapeño. At first I was rather shocked by the number of calories which is 310 per bag. The packet looked only slightly bigger than a standard packet of crisps in the UK but when I looked properly, they are actually much heavier; 56.7g to be precise. This pleased me because don't you hate it when you buy a packet of crisps and half the bag is air? These were really packed in which explained the high calorie content, this bag I would assume is designed for sharing.
Cheetos Crunchy Cheese Flavour
The Cheese Cheetos are a very bright orange colour, very nobbley and they really do smell cheesy. The texture was very similar to NikNaks, they were crunchy and tasted as cheesy as they smelt.
Cheetos Crunchy Cheddar Jalapeño Flavour
The Cheddar Jalapeno flavor was my favorite of the 2. They appeared more nobbley but I don't know if that is an intended difference or not. They were as cheesy as the cheese flavor but the jalapeno added a bit of tang and a nice heat, these were very addictive!Verdict I can't believe I waited so long to try Cheetos, I loved them! Sadly Mr Review Addict also loved them so I had to share which probably wasn't a bad thing as I would have been tempted to finish a bag to myself!
