I can't actually remember where I got these Coconut M&Ms from because I end up buying so much stuff that all goes into a big box for reviewing purposes and then I end up forgetting which is pretty rubbish of me to be honest, but I do know that you can purchase them from monster sweets.co.uk for £1.25.
Coconut M&Ms are larger than regular M&Ms, probably more the size of the peanut version but maybe a litter flatter rather than egg shaped. They only come in green, brown and white which I assume is to mimic the colours of an actual coconut...I guess the green is an unripened coconut? It's quite ironic actually because there is absolutely no actual coconut in these M&Ms as they are artificially flavoured. This 42.5g bag contains 210 calories.
Artificial flavours don't deter me from this sort of thing and to be honest I actually quite like artificial coconut. Coconut M&Ms are much like standard M&Ms with the usual hard candy shell incasing chocolate and it is this chocolate which has the coconut flavouring. It does taste artificial and is quite subtle and very sweet but I think that actually it works quite well.
Verdict I am going to put it out there that I am not a huge fan of M&Ms because I don't think that the chocolate is all that great but I actually quite liked the coconut flavouring in these. It's a shame that they went down the artificial route as these could have been much better with some little piece of real coconut but never mind, I still happily polished off the bag.
