Duke of Delhi Bombay Mix Chocolate
When I heard about these new Duke of Delhi chocolate bars I knew that I had to give them a go so when I was contacted and asked if I would like to review them I jumped at the chance. I knew Duke of Delhi for their Delhi Mixes and I was surprised to hear that they now make chocolate bars.
The bars actually contain their signature Bombay Mix and come in milk and dark varieties.  I was sent 3 different bars to try: Milk Chocolate & Indian Cinnamon, Milk Chocolate, Cardamon & Vanilla and Milk Chocolate & Orange.  You can see reviews of some of the other bars on Grocery Gems.

They are lovely looking bars with quite small sections and a bigger one in the middle. The inside of each of the bars looked quite similar with little pieces of the Bombay Mix (Chevdo) scattered throughout. The bars weigh 80g and contains approximately 540-545 calories per 100g.

The milk chocolate used in these bars was fantastic, it has a minimum of 32% cocoa solids and is sweet and creamy. Each bar contains a Delhi Mix made from puffed rice, rapeseed oil, gram flour, salt, turmeric and chilli.
The Milk Chocolate & Orange bar was delicious, the orange oil gave it a real genuine and strong orange flavor. The Delhi Mix was a great addition; there was a slight saltiness and the subtle hint of Indian flavours with a nice crunch. This was Mr Review Addict's favorite bar.
Milk Chocolate, Cardamon & Vanilla is a really interesting bar. It has the same great texture and Cardamon is extremely fragrant whilst the vanilla is more subtle. I was a bit taken aback when I first tried this bar as I wasn't expecting such a strong flavor but once I got used to it, I found that I really enjoyed it,
Milk Chocolate & Indian Cinnamon is my favorite of the 3 bars. The cinnamon is clearly there but there isn't so much that it blows your head off. This bar also contains vanilla which I felt came through more than in the Cardamon bar. I don't think I have ever tried cinnamon with chocolate but it's definitely a combination that I want more of!
VerdictI am really impressed with these Duke of Delhi chocolate bars! The idea of adding Bombay mix is just so interesting and original and so are the flavor combinations. These bars really excite me and I hope to be able to try the dark chocolate Delhi Mix bars soon.
Duke of Delhi chocolate bars can be found in Fornum and Masons or can be purchased from the Duke of Delhi website. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.
