Galaxy Orange and Shortcake
My husband found this Galaxy Orange and Shortcake bar in our local Premier store today.  It says "new" on it and we certainly haven't seen it before but a quick google tells me that this flavor has actually been around since at least as far back as 2010 as www.thechocolatereview.net reviewed it back in November of that year, as did Food Stuff Finds.  The Galaxy website also claims that this is a new bar so I am not sure what the deal is there, perhaps it was discontinued and then brought back?  Like I said, it's new to me so obviously I had to give it a try.
Galaxy Orange and Shortcake
This 45g bar contains 245 calories and is in 6 sections.  It didn't particularly smell of orange when I opened it and I must admit I was a little wary of the orange bits because they looked like jelly and I didn't think that they were going to taste all that nice because I imagined the rich Galaxy chocolate being spoilt by a strong hit of orange every so often.
Actually I was wrong to judge this bar so quickly, the orange flavor was surprisingly consistent throughout and it was actually quite a subtle orange flavor.  The shortcake was nice, it was quite soft which is my preference to really crunchy biscuit in a chocolate bar and it added a nice flavor and texture.
Galaxy Orange and Shortcake
Verdict I was surprised how much I enjoyed Galaxy Orange and Shortcake, I think a shall buy a big bar of this next time. REVIEW! Galaxy Orange and ShortcakeREVIEW! Galaxy Orange and ShortcakeREVIEW! Galaxy Orange and ShortcakeREVIEW! Galaxy Orange and ShortcakeREVIEW! Galaxy Orange and Shortcake
