My brother brought these Hotel Chocolat Puddles round for me to try the other day. I must admit I have not been eating as much chocolate as usual because of the hot weather but something about Strawberries and Cream flavor chocolate just screams summer. Strawberry seems to be a very fashionable chocolate flavor at the moment and I have recently reviewed offerings from Cadbury, ChokaBlok and Milka.
Anyway I loved the cute package that they came in, apparently the bro got these free as part of an offer that O2 are doing at the moment. There are other flavours of puddles available at Hotel Chocolat, including Chocolate Orange, Dark with Chilli and Salted Caramel to name a few.
Puddles were designed to be the perfect size and shape to melt in the mouth and I would agree with that. The Strawberries and Cream flavor is a mix of strawberry and white chocolate which gives them a lovely pink color.
I absolutely loved the strawberry flavour, it is a little more tart than some of the other strawberry chocolate that I have tried recently but it is one of the best. The fruity flavor really comes through and the chocolate is of the usual high standard that I have come to expect from Hotel Chocolat: beautifully creamy and full of flavour!
Verdict Well it's no surprise that a Hotel Chocolat product has got a top rating from The Review Addict. Puddles are a great little treat and highly addictive!
