Earlier in the year I reviewed J2O Papaya Punch and getting in the Christmas spirit, today I am reviewing J2O Glitter Berry. Glitter Berry is a grape, cherry and spice flavour juice drink which also contains edible gold glitter. It is a limited edition for Christmas and I remember seeing this last year but I never got round to trying it. I purchased a two 4-packs for £5 from Sainsbury's a few weeks ago.
According to the Britvic website they have "modernised" the drink in line with the rest of the J2O range and this means less calories than before. Each 275ml bottle contains 77 calories.
It really is a lovely looking drink, it is a very pretty purple color and once shaken up, the gold glitter gives it a gorgeous shimmering effect. Here is a close up...and yes those are Glitter Berry inspired nails that I am rocking (actually that is purely a coincidence but good timing!)
The drink is very sweet but still refreshing. I can certainly taste the cherry and the grape which go really well together. The spices are jut enough to make the drink interesting and compliment the fruity flavours without over powering it.
Verdict
Well this is certainly the best looking drink that I have tried and it tastes really good too. I can imagine that this would go down well at a Christmas party as an alternative to alcohol...or you could just throw some vodka in for a really pretty cocktail!
I'm interested to hear from any guys reading this...would you be seen drinking a purple glittery drink? It's quite girly so I am just wondering if it would appeal to men?
