I was recently contacted by JUST EAT and was asked if I would like to review their service. Well of course I jumped at the chance because what girl doesn't love free food and it's always a bonus if you don't have to cook it yourself!
There is nothing better than a takeaway on a Friday night; work is done for the week and I am usually knackered at this point, especially if I have been sent all over the country for work as I have these past 2 weeks. Anyway the last thing that I want to do is cook a meal, I just want to come home, sit down on the sofa and have my food come to me!
Well luckily JUST EAT are here to help. They might not be able to get the food directly to my sofa but they can get it to my front door which is a pretty good compromise if you ask me! On the JUST EAT website all you need to do is pop in your postcode and they will provide you with a list of your local takeaway restaurants. You can do all the ordering through the website and choose to pay with card online or cash at your door.
Mr Review Addict and I decided that we fancied Chinese last Friday night so we ordered through JUST EAT. They provided us with a list of 4 Chinese restaurants in our area and we were thrilled to see that our favorite one was listed (China Express in Bracknell in case you wondered...the sweet and sour Hong Kong style is AWESOME!).
The ordering process was very simple as the menu is set out in a very user friendly format so finding our favorite dishes was a piece of cake. I also noticed that you can read user reviews of each restaurant which is very handy if you are thinking trying somewhere new. Once the order was placed, you get a message when the restaurant has accepted it and we were also given an estimated delivery time. I liked this idea because it just gave you a bit of reassurance that your food is on it's way.
The food arrived quickly and exactly as we ordered which I guess is down to the individual restaurant but I must say that I was very impressed with the JUST EAT service. It clearly works well in getting the order through to the restaurant and I personally prefer ordering food online as it's easier to work out how much you are spending and I find that the process is a lot quicker than picking up the phone. They also have a mobile phone app so if you are really hungry you could even order your food on your way home from work!
Verdict
A great service from JUST EAT. I loved that it made ordering from my local favourites easier and quicker but it also gives me options for new places to try that I hadn't perhaps thought of before. A big thumbs up from The Review Addict!
