REVIEW! Kettle Tortilla ChipsREVIEW! Kettle Tortilla Chips
Another crisp review following my review of new Heinz Flavoured Golden Wonder Crisps the other day.  I really like Kettle Chips, particularly the Sea Salt and Balsamic Vinegar flavour; their hand cooked crisps have a very satisfying crunch to them and they have some really nice flavor combinations.  So when I spotted I these Kettle Tortilla Chips the other day, I had high hopes.
I am not sure how long they have been around but it said "New" on the bag so I assume that they are a fairly recent addition to the Kettle Chip range.  They were priced at £1.85 a bag in Asda.
REVIEW! Kettle Tortilla ChipsI picked up a bag of Nacho Cheese flavor and a bag of Cool Sour Cream flavor.  They also do 2 other flavours; Sea Salted and Sweet Chill Salsa.  I believe that these are called Tias! in the USA and they have a couple of different flavours such as Sweet Baja Barbeque and Chilli con Queso.
I like the simple packaging and how the flavor was illustrated in the familiar wedge shape of a tortilla chip.  Apparently tortilla chips are traditionally made from ground corn and you can certainly taste the corn in these.
The Nacho Cheese flavor has a tangy cheesy taste with a slight kick.  They are quite salty but in true Kettle Chip style they had a very good crunch to them and they were quite more-ish.  The Sour Cream flavor was a much cooler taste and less salty.  As well as the sour cream, I could taste onion and garlic which still made sure that they were packed with flavor as sour cream on it's own would have been quite bland.
Verdict
Out of the 2 flavours I tried, the Sour Cream Kettle Tortilla Chips were my favourite, the Nacho Cheese were just a little bit too salty for my taste but I think both flavours would go really well with a salsa dip
