Peanut Butter Style Cup Cakes
I am really excited about the new Tesco American Bakery range that is inspired by some classic flavours from the USA. Tesco very kindly sent me some vouchers so that I was able to purchase some products from the range and I picked 3 items from to share with you.
First up we have these Peanut Butter Style Cup Cakes which are Tesco's take on peanut butter and jelly. They come in a pack of 2, costing £1.50 and each one contains 309 calories. They consist of a light sponge cake and within the center is a generous helping of strawberry jam. On the top is a thick layer of peanut butter style frosting and coloured chocolate beans.

The sponge was lovely and fluffy and even though the frosting is actually made from soya nut butter rather than peanut butter it did taste like peanut butter. It was much lighter and smoother however and wasn't too sweet. The jam in the middle was lovely and I enjoyed the little chocolate beans on top.
Mississippi Mud Pies
These Mississippi Mud Pies come in a pack of 4 and each one contains 231 calories. The sweet pastry cups are filled with chocolate brownie and Belgian chocolate sauce. They are topped with a vanilla topping and chocolate cookie crumb.

These little cakes were delicious! I loved the thick vanilla topping and the brownie underneath was lovely and gooey.
My favorite of the 3 products that I tried was this Double Chocolate Waffle Stack. It's also available in a blueberry and maple version with both costing £2.00. It's not the biggest looking cake when you realize that it is designed to serve 2 but at 332 calories for each half you are probably best off sharing it.

The stack is made from 3 waffles layered with chocolate flavoured frosting and chocolate sauce. It is topped with milk and white chocolate shavings.
You can eat it hot or cold, we decided to go for hot and it's easy to just warm it in the microwave. It was seriously tasty and there is a lot more chocolate than there looks in my photo which all came oozing out once it was heated. I reckon that it would be even more amazing served with a bit of ice cream!
VerdictThese are just a few of the products from the Tesco American Bakery range and I loved all of them. If you fancy giving the range a try then you best hurry as it is limited edition and will only be in stores for around 12 weeks.REVIEW! Limited Edition Tesco American Bakery RangeREVIEW!
