When we were in Orlando we went to a Lindt shop and there we discovered Peanut Butter Lindor Truffles! I have to admit that I was pretty excited, so excited in fact that I purchased 2 of these massive 540g bags to bring back to the UK.
Lindor Truffles have always been one of my favorite chocolates and I have loved all of the varieties that I have tried, especially the coconut version. These peanut butter ones are certainly no exception and actually they are my new favorite. I expected them to be a little dry but some how Lindt have made the peanut butter and milk chocolate center so silky and smooth which I guess should have been no surprise given that this is standard in a Lindor Truffle.
There is becoming more of a presence of peanut butter in the UK market, take the recent release of Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream for example and the fact that more and more peanut butter based products from the USA are finding their way across the pond. Sadly Peanut Butter Lindor are not widely available here but who know's perhaps Lindt will take note of the rise in demand for peanut butter and give them a chance....we can only hope!
Verdict Peanut Butter Lindor are like really posh peanut butter cups...that aren't cups but balls! Give me one of these over a Reese's any day and Lindt, if you are reading this I beg you, PLEASE bring them out in the UK!
