REVIEW! Lucky Charm Treats Marshmallow Cereal Bar
Posted on the 18 July 2013 by Thereviewaddict @TheReviewAddictI can't remember the last decent summer that we had in the UK and I am certainly not complaining about the heat but I am going to put it out there that it is too hot for chocolate! I now have a fridge full of the stuff so that I don't have any major melting incidents and I bet my fellow snack bloggers are in the same boat.
This leaves me looking for non-chocolately snacks and as it happens Mr Review Addict spotted this Lucky Charms Treats bar in our local Londis store. We seem to be getting more and more products from the USA over here in more mainstream shops which is fantastic! It cost Mr Review Addict £1.50 and the 48g bar contains 200 calories.
It's a big old bar and I love this sort of thing as I don't like milk but I do like cereal so a bar makes more sense to me. Lucky Charms was always a childhood favorite of mine, especially the marshmallows so I was pleased to see that the bar was well packed with them! The bar also has a marshmallow coating on one side.
This is by no means a nutritious cereal bar but it is absolutely delicious. It is sweet and slightly chewy, with a similar consistency to a Rice Krispies Squares, only better because there is more marshmallow. Because it was so big it was quite filling and I did notice that Tesco sells smaller versions of these bars which contain just 100 calories so they might be better if you are just looking for a small treat.
Verdict Lucky Charms in bar form! What's not to love? This Lucky Charms Treats bar made a nice change from chocolate and made me feel like a kid again.
