I hadn't got around to trying any of the new Limited Edition Magnum Kisses range but when I saw the review of this one on Grocery Gems, I made it my mission to find it. Sure enough Sainsbury's had them in stock along with No.3 Tiramisu. A box of 3 ice creams cost £2.50 and each one contains 210 calories.
Gateau Au Chocolat sounded right up my street; chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce, chocolate brownie pieces and coated in milk chocolate.
The 204g ice creams come in their own individual boxes which is a nice touch. I have always been a huge fan of Magnums because both the chocolate and the ice cream is excellent. This one did not disappoint and as always the milk chocolate was thick and delicious. The ice cream is very chocolatey and creamy but the real treat is the chocolate sauce and the brownie pieces. The sauce is even more chocolatey and the brownies pieces, although small are some of the best that I have tasted in an ice cream. They are gooey and just like little bits of heaven!
Verdict
I knew that I would love this ice cream, it is so indulgent and really satisfied my chocolate cravings!
