I was pretty chuffed to spot these new Magnum Pistachio Ice Creams when I ordered my Tesco shopping online the other day. I do love a Magnum and Mr Review Addict adores pistachio ice cream so this was something that would make us both happy! The box of 3 was £2.99 and they contain 280 calories each.
The outside is a thick milk chocolate, this is one of the things I love about a Magnum, you can always trust them to use decent chocolate and plenty of it. Within the chocolate was little pieces of pistachio which gave it a sort of knobbly effect.
The pistachio ice cream was a bright green colour, interestingly spinach powder is listed in the ingredients which I assumes gives it the intensity. It was the usual deliciously creamy stuff that you find within a Magnum and the pistachio taste was gorgeous! It wasn't massively strong which I quite liked but Mr Review Addict would have preferred it to have been a bit more intense (he is quite the connoisseur of pistachio ice cream) nevertheless we both really enjoyed it.
Verdict
A lovely new flavor from Magnum and one that I will certainly be purchasing again, the good old White Chocolate Magnum is still my favorite but this made a lovely change.
