Milka Lila Pause - Strawberry and Yogurt
Monster Sweets kindly sent me this Milka Lila Pause to review and it is a very interesting strawberry and yogurt flavour! Milka is a chocolate that I love and whenever I visit Europe I make sure that I pick some up, especially the Noisette flavor which is like Nutella in a chocolate bar! These days Milka is a lot easier to get hold of in the UK, although I haven't come across this bar before which is available from Monster Sweets for £1.09. A 38g bar contains 210 calories.
It is a fantastic looking bar, it doesn't have sections, it is in one piece and has a lovely little Alpine scene on it. The inside is a pinkish brown color and it really does smell of strawberries.

The chocolate coating is the standard Milka chocolate: creamy, smooth and delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect from the filling as I am not really experienced in the realms of yogurty chocolate although I did once try a Ritter Sport version of this and wasn't overly keen; it was too tangy and the strawberry taste was too strong and too fake.
Back to the Milk version and the strawberry taste is quite mild and sweet. The yogurt gives it a slight tang but no where near as tangy as I was expecting, it was actually very pleasant. The filling is like a praline in texture and also contains hazelnuts which really works well with the other flavours. There are also some crispies thrown in which add a bit of crunch.

Verdict
I think the hazelnut is what really makes this bar work, it just seems to balance all of the other flavours. The texture is really nice; I like this trend of adding crispies to really smooth chocolate fillings. Strawberry and Yogurt Milka Lila Pause gets a thumbs up from me!
