REVIEW! New Galaxy Hot Chocolates
Posted on the 03 December 2013 by Thereviewaddict @TheReviewAddictGalaxy Hot Chocolate has got a new look and a PR company very kindly sent me some samples to review. This is where Milky Drinks Consultant Mr Review Addict comes into play again as he has been testing these for me.
More cocoa has been added to the drinks and the range is available from all major supermarkets with a RRP of £2.59 each.
First up we have Galaxy Frothy Hot Chocolate. There seems to be a trend for these bubbly hot chocolates at the moment so it was no surprise to me that Galaxy are getting in on the action. I made a cup for Mr Review Addict and even though hot chocolate is not my thing, I have to say that it smelt amazing. The tub advised to use 4 heaped teaspoons per mug and you can make it with either milk or hot water. The drink made with water contains 103 calories and made with skimmed milk it contains 200.
I used water to make the drink and when I poured it over the powder it made a strange cracking noise and I loved watching all the bubble appears. Mr Review Addict said that he thoroughly enjoyed this frothy hot chocolate and he will definitely be trying it again with milk.
The Galaxy Instant Hot Chocolate only needs 3 heaped teaspoons of the powder per mug and the tub advises to make the drink with hot water rather than milk. A serving contains 80 calories.
Mr Review Addict enjoyed this hot chocolate too but he said that he preferred the frothy version as it was more chocolatey.
VerdictMr Review Addict is loving the new Galaxy Hot chocolates but his favorite was definitely the Frothy Hot Chocolate. He said that it tasted creamier even made with water and more chocolatey than the Instant version. He also likes that the Frothy Hot Chocolate can be made with milk or water so if he wants a more indulgent drink he has the option.
