I was recently sent some products from Mars to review and these Thick Shakes were included in my package. My regular readers will know that I don't like milk so my Milky Drinks Consultant AKA Mr Review Addict has kindly reviewed these milkshakes for me as I thought that my lovely readers would still be interested to hear about them.
They are available in Mars, Galaxy Caramel and Maltesers. You can find all varieties in Asda and the Mars shake in Morrisons with a RRP of £1.00. All of the shakes come in 300ml bottles and contain under 250 calories.
The Maltesers Thick Shake was Mr Review Addict's favorite which he said surprised him because out of the 3 actual chocolate products Maltesers is his least favorite. He loved the thick texture of these shakes and they made a nice treat.
Mr Review Addict was also lucky enough to be able to review the new Galaxy Mocha Lattes for me. These were previously known as Galaxy Cafe but have recently been re-branded. The drinks come in a single or double shot and mix the taste of Galaxy chocolate with coffee beans. These are ambient products so you do not need to keep them in the fridge so you could take them to work with you and chill before drinking.
They come in 230ml cardboard containers with the single shot containing 168 calories and the double shot containing 181. The drinks are available from Asda and Tesco and the RRP is 2 for £2.
These were a first for Mr Review Addict, he had never tried a cold coffee drink before but he said that he enjoyed both because it was like a milkshake with a hint of coffee. He preferred the more mild single shot as this is more like how he drinks his coffee and he said that it was a strangely refreshing drink. He was surprised by how much he enjoyed it and once the summer comes he will probably buy these again.
Verdict
Mr Review Addict is awarding both the Thick Shakes and the Mocha Lattes 4 stars and will definitely be buying that Maltesers shake again!
