Ribena Plus Orange & Mandarin
Last week I was sent this bottle of the new Ribena Plus Orange & Mandarin flavor. It is no added sugar and contains 10 calories per 250ml serving which assumes 1 part Ribena with 4 parts water.
Ribena has been around for over 75 years is usually known of course for it's blackcurrant range which was designed to give everyone their daily dose of vitamin C. This new flavor carries on this theme with added vitamin C and A.
This 850ml bottle of squash is available in all major supermarkets for around £2.89 and it's also available in a multipack of 10x 200ml ready to drink cartons.
The taste was very pleasant, at first I have to admit that I was a bit dubious about the whole orange and mandarin thing, would I taste the difference? Well yes I did actually and it was a really refreshing drink and the mandarin made it more exciting than your standard orange squash.
Verdict
A lovely new citrusy drink from Ribena. It's more expensive than my usual brand, especially as you need a higher concentrate to water ratio but it tasted really nice so I will buy this again as a treat.
