I spotted this Phileas Fogg American Style Popcorn in Tesco last week and it says it's new but it's not something that I've been looking for so how new I am not sure. It was only £1 and there are a few flavours; Cajun Spice & Smoke Salt, Arizona Sweet & Spicy Chilli and this Californian Tangy & Tasty Cheese Flavour. It comes in a 60g bag which doesn't sound like a lot but remember popcorn is really light so it's actually a pretty big bag. A 20g serving contains 101 calories.
The popcorn is a bright yellow color and smelt very cheesy. It was suitably light and fluffy with a slight crunch to it and tasted as cheesy as it smelt with a slight hint of garlic and tomato which is where the "tangy" part comes in.
Verdict
I usually prefer sweet popcorn but this made a nice alternative to crisps. It wasn't quite as tasty as the Phileas Fogg Cheese and New York Deli Relish Flavour American Bubble Chips and not as tangy either but a lighter snack and lighter on the calories too.
