Pistonhead Kustom Lager is launching 300ml bottles into Tesco stores nationwide! Pistonhead which is brewed in Sweden by Brutal Brewing and is one of the fastest growing craft brews in the UK where it is distributed and managed by Proof Drinks.
The skull logo on the bottle is reflective of the thriving “Kustom Kulture” scene in Sweden which is inspired by Americana and 50’s pop culture. The lager is 4.6% ABV is priced at £1.79 a bottle in Tesco.
Proof Drinks very kindly sent me some samples of Pistonhead to review so Mr Review Addict and I have been drinking it over the weekend...not all weekend, we are not alcoholics but we did certainly enjoy a few bottles between us.
We both really love the skull logo, it just looks so eye-catching and I did feel like I should be watching Sons of Anarchy whilst drinking a bottle! The lager is a dark golden color and Pistonhead describe the taste as "full bodied malt flavor with a balanced and distinct bitterness". I was a little wary when I read that because I am not a fan of overly bitter lagers but I actually found Pistonhead quite smooth and easy to drink.
VerdictPistonhead was definitely the sort of lager that I enjoy and it went down well with Mr Review Addict too!
