Just a quick review of these new Quorn Chef's Selection Classic Burgers. They come in a pack of 2 and can be found in the chilled section of the supermarket. They are usually priced at £2.20 but Tesco currently has an offer on for 3 for 2 across much of the Quorn range.
The burgers can be grilled for 8 minutes, cooked on the BBQ or done on the hob. I grilled them and each 90g burger contains 164 calories.
I forgot to take a picture of the actual burger (I am blaming baby brain) but they did look pretty much as they do the packet, complete with the grill style lines.
I've tried Quorn burgers before from the frozen range and have to admit I wasn't overly keen as I found them a tad dry. These new chilled burgers are much nicer though and they had a much more moist texture to them and an almost flame-grilled taste.
VerdictBoth Mr Review Addict and I enjoyed these Quorn burgers as a more healthy alternative to beef burgers. They were very nice in a wholemeal roll with a slice of burger cheese...or plastic cheese as we call it in our house...anyone else call it that?
