Monstersweets.co.uk specialise in European Chocolate (and products from America and Australia too!) and they very kindly sent me this Ritter Sport Eiscafe to review. My regular readers will know that I am a massive Ritter Sport fan so I am always excited to try a new bar.
Eiscafe is a coffee vanilla creme bar and this is not the first time that I've tried a coffee themed Ritter Sport, I also reviewed the Ritter Sport Espresso bar a while back. Both bars are available from monstersweets.co.uk for £1.75.
The bar had a faint smell of coffee to it but with a much sweeter aroma than that of the Espresso bar. The taste was far sweeter too; it was more of a creamy coffee. I think it's meant to be like coffee ice cream as Eiscafe translated apparently means ice-cream parlour and the vanilla did give a hint of this making the coffee flavor fairly mild.
Verdict
I really liked this bar, the flavor was pleasant but I will say that I prefer stronger coffee flavours so for me the Espresso bar wins if I was to play the 2 against each other. I think this will appeal to people who prefer their coffee flavours a bit more subtle.
