Ritter Sport Strawberry Yogurt
I am slowly working my way through the Ritter Sport range as I haven't found a Ritter Sport bar that I did not like. Well I say that, I did actually try a Ritter Sport Strawberry and Yogurt mini bar a few years back and I wasn't overly keen but I thought that I would give it another go because I have found that my taste buds have changed over time.
I didn't used to like yogurt but I forced myself to eat it to make sure that I was getting enough calcium in my diet and then suddenly I found that I loved the stuff. I really loved the Dairy Milk Strawberries and Creme bar and also enjoyed the The Strawberry and Yogurt Milka Lila Pause so perhaps a 2nd try of the Ritter Sport version will be a more positive experience.
Monster Sweets currently have an offer on where if you place an order, you can order another item from a specific list completely free so when I recently stocked up on Pfeffernusse cookies for Christmas I took the opportunity to get the Ritter Sport bar.

It's a standard 100g Ritter Sport bar with 16 square blocks and I could smell the strawberry as soon as I opened the wrapper.

The inside is filled with a pinkish coloured strawberry yogurt, crunchy rice crisps and strawberry pieces.
The creamy milk chocolate is of course awesome as all Ritter Sport chocolate seems to be. I remembered the yogurt being sour and the strawberry tasting artificial but this time around I liked it! The yogurt was creamy with a bit of a tang to it. The strawberries are real freeze-dried pieces of fruit and they added a bit of sweetness and I always enjoy the texture of the rice crisps in Ritter Sport bars.
VerdictI don't know if the recipe has changed since I tried this bar all those years ago but this time around I thought that it was really nice. I still prefer the Milka and the Cadbury versions and it's not my favorite Ritter Sport bar but I am glad that I gave it another go.
Just FYI, if you are thinking of placing an order with Monster Sweets and you are are Ritter Sport fan, they currently have the Ritter Sport Coconut bar in the Pick 1 Free list and this bar is amazing (review here).REVIEW!
