I have always found the name of this hazelnut wafer bar rather amusing. I mean Knoppers just sounds rude to me...yes I know it's childish but I can't help it. It was sent to me for review by Monstersweets.co.uk who are an online sweet store specialising in American and European sweets and chocolate.
Knoppers has been around for a long time, since 1983 and is a European snack made by Stock. It is a very pretty looking bar and it between the layers of wafer is milk and hazelnut praline cream. It also has a chocolate top but I have just realised that I took my picture with it upside down! You get the idea though. This bar weighs 25g and contains around 137 calories so makes a nice and light chocolatey snack.
I love hazelnut so I knew that I would enjoy Knoppers. There is enough chocolate to satisfy a craving and the creamy filling is just delicious. The wafer is crispy and sweet and this is a very nicely put together little snack!
Verdict Knoppers is available from Monster Sweets for just 55p. I loved it and because it was so light I didn't feel the slightest bit guilty eating it!
