REVIEW! Taywell Ice Creams - Mint Choc Chip
Posted on the 07 April 2013 by Thereviewaddict @TheReviewAddictToday is Day 6 and the sadly the final day of Taywell Ice Creams week. I have tried some really fantastic ice cream this week so a big thank you to Taywell for delivering them to me and letting me review them!
Last up we have Mint Choc Chip flavor. I saved this flavor until last because ever since I was a kid this has been one of my favourites so I knew that I was going to love it.
This ice cream is not a luminous green like a lot of mint chic chip ice creams, but instead it is a subtle cream color and I assume this is because Taywell does not use any artificial colourings. Sometimes minty ice cream can be a bit harsh, like you are eating toothpaste but not this offering from Taywell; they have got it spot on here! It's a natural minty taste that is light and refreshing and it's lovely and creamy. The chocolate chips are quite small but the ice cream is absolutely packed with them. They are dark chocolate and this really compliments the minty flavor and adds a nice bit of texture, it's good quality chocolate too.
Verdict All of the Taywell Ice Creams flavours that I have tried this week have been fantastic and Mint Choc Chip is no exception. If I had to pick a favorite from the flavours that I have tried this week it would be the Honeycomb as it's just so different. That said, there are about 140 different flavours available so there are quite a lot more that I need to try! Coconut Rum sorbet sounds amazing, as does the Lemon Meringue Ice Cream. I also want to try some of the more crazy flavours like Cactus and Piquin Pepper or Black Sesame. Mr Review Addict apparently NEEDS to try the Pistachio flavor. I am looking forward to there being more stockists near to me as I have been very impressed with what I have tried from Taywell Ice Creams this week and once available, I will be stocking up!
Please note that I do not get paid for writing reviews, Taywell Ice Creams kindly sent me this ice cream free of charge in return for an honest review. All my opinions are my own.
You can follow Taywell Ice Creams on Twitter and they also have a Facebook Page. A list of Taywell stockists can be found here but more will be appearing in Berkshire, Oxford, Hants and Surrey later this month.
