Tesco Finest Fruit and Nut Selection can be found with the fresh produce and is one of over 400 new products in the Tesco Finest range. I was lucky enough to be sent some vouchers so that I could try some of these new products and I chose this one because I have always enjoyed dried fruit and nuts as a snack. The bag weighs 250g and costs £3. An average recommended serving of 25g contains around 120 calories.
It is quite a varied and colourful mix which includes dried cranberries, blueberries and golden raisins. There is also several different varieties of nut: Sicilian pistachios, aromatic Giffoni Hazelnuts, hand-cracked Chilean walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashew nuts and almonds.
The nuts are all excellent quality and the cashews are some of the biggest that I have ever seen! The dried fruit is infused with fruit juice which gives it a lovely moist texture and I particularly liked the cranberries because they had a slight tartness about them.
Verdict This fruit and nut selection definitely satisfied my snacking needs this evening. I loved that there were so many different elements to it but they all complimented each other, although I do reckon that those cranberries would be pretty awesome in a bag on their own!
