I first discovered The Cheesecake Factory the first time I went to Vegas and like the IHOP that I reviewed the other day, if I am in the US I will make sure that I visit this place.
The Cheesecake Factory doesn't just sell cheesecake, they actually have a huge menu with more than 200 options and they do some excellent Mac and Cheese! They prepare the food fresh each day and portions are very generous. I remember once ordering a salad that may as well have come in a bucket as there was so much of it; I never thought I would find myself unable to finish a salad.
Whilst I was in Orlando last week, we decided to stop by The Cheesecake Factory for some dessert one lunch time. I think I counted about 26 different desserts choices on the menu, it was over 20 anyway and being a huge coconut fan, I went with the interestingly names Chris' Outrageous Cheesecake. I have no idea who Chris is but this cheesecake is layers of moist chocolate cake, chewy brownie, toasted coconut-pecan frosting and creamy chocolate chip coconut cheesecake.
In true Cheesecake Factory style, this piece of cheesecake was a complete beast, I really don't think my photo does the size of it justice but I am not the sort of girl who leaves dessert left on my plate and I almost couldn't finish this despite it being all I had eaten all day.
This was a very rich and creamy cheesecake and the combination of chocolate and coconut was divine. That huge lump of frosting on the top was delicious and I loved how there were so many layers to the dessert.
Verdict Chris' Outrageous Cheesecake did not disappoint, I have tried a few different cheesecakes at The Cheesecake factory and this one has to be my favorite. At $7.95 a slice (just under £5) it is not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality and portion size, I could have easily shared it rather than eating it all to myself. I would love to congratulate Chris on an truly awesome cheesecake!
