The Collective Dairy Russian Fudge Yogurt
It's been a while since I've reviewed a yogurt and one of my brothers has been hassling me for months to try something from The Collective Dairy. They do quite a few flavours in my local Sainsbury's where I picked up this big 500g pot for £2.40. A lot of the flavours are fruit based but I couldn't resist Russian Fudge.
I liked the presentation of the yogurt in the see-through container, the yogurt is sort of swirled with the fudge and the simple packaging makes it instantly recognisable amongst the other yogurts.
The Collective Dairy Russian Fudge Yogurt
The Collective originates from New Zealand and specialise in gourmet yogurts. Their Russian Fudge flavor yogurt was inspired by a classic Kiwi sweet. It's made from West Country milk, is free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, is gluten free and suitable for veggies. It contains around 147 calories per 100g.
The yogurt is very thick and creamy and not too sweet. The fudge sauce is very tasty indeed; it is also thick and I could eat just a pot of it on it's own but all swirled together with the yogurt it does makes a pretty awesome combination. I got a slight hint of honey in there along with caramel and it certainly was an indulgent yogurt!
VerdictI usually eat yogurt for breakfast but I have a feeling I will be eating it for dessert now I have discovered The Collective Dairy Russian Fudge Yogurt. REVIEW!
