Last year I was contacted by retro sweetshop The Gobstopper who asked me if I would like to review some of their sweets. Well I was mega impressed with their service and when they contacted me again to ask me to review their new Click 'N' Mix selection, I was very excited! You can read my previous review of The Gobstopper here.
Click 'N' Mix is basically a posh online pick 'n' mix. I say posh because it doesn't just come in a paper bag or cup like your standard pick 'n' mix, but your selection comes in a very nice Kilner jar meaning that it would make a fantastic gift for someone...or a nice treat for yourself!
There are 3 different sized jars to choose from, the small jar (£9.99) allows you to select 3 different sweets to fill it, you get 5 choices with the medium jar (£17.99) and the large jar (£39.99) can have up to 10 different sweets.
The process is really simple, you just choose the sweets that you want from a drop down list and you are good to go...the hard part is making the choice which sweets to go for, there are just so many to choose from!
The Gobstopper kindly offered to send me one of the small jars to review so I had 3 choices to make. The first 2 were easy: Pear Drops and Coconut Ice which are 2 of my favourites. The third choice was tougher but after much deliberation I decided to go with Apple Bonbons because I had never tried them before.

My parcel arrived a few days later and was very well packaged in some shredded wood. Just like last time a parcel arrived from The Gobstopper, it was an exciting event in The Review Addict household, who doesn't like receiving sweets in the post? The 0.5 liter jar was literally packed full to the brim with sweets and it looked fantastic, it even had a little label that you could use as a gift tag if you were giving this to someone as a present. No chance of me doing that this time...these sweets are all mine!
The bits of Coconut Ice were huge, as were the Pear Drops. I haven't seen Pear Drops like these before, I am used to either pink ones or yellow ones but these are both colours. The Apple Bonbons were a good choice too, they are very addict little sweets!
Verdict I absolutely loved the idea of Click 'N' Mix from The Gobstopper. I loved choosing my sweets and I think that the Kilner jars look fantastic. My jar is sat on the side at home and it looks so nice that I almost don't want to eat the sweets...note that I said 'almost' though because every time I walk past I can't help but take one. I will just have to buy some more to fill it up again!
