I purchased these packets of Trident Layers Chewing Gum in Orlando as I thought they looked far more interesting than any of the gum that we get in the UK. There were a few flavours available but I picked up one of the Green Apple and Golden Pineapple, a packet of Sweet Cherry and Island Lime and one of Grape Lemonade.
The cardboard packets open like a little book and each contain 14 pieces of sugar free gum. They are thicker and smaller than the sticks we usually get in the UK but bigger than the tablet sized pieces too.
Each piece of gum looks like a little sandwich, hence the name Layers. My favorite flavor was the Grape Lemonade which was mostly lemonade flavor with a thin layer of grape. This meant than when chewing the gum you get a lovely little burst of the middle flavor.
The great thing about this gum, and any Trident gum that I have tried, is that the flavor lasts ages and Layers is no exception. Despite there being no mint involved in these gums, the flavours are still really refreshing.
Verdict
I loved the strong fruity flavours of Trident Layers and this is easily the best gum I have tasted!
