Sunbites are a multigrain snack from Walkers and they have recently added 3 new products to the range; Crispy Crackers, Pitta Bakes and Crackers & Dip. I was sent some samples to review recently and was looking forward to trying some new savoury snacks.
The Crispy Crackers and Pita Bakes are oven baked and come in some pretty nice sounding flavours. They also contain 30% less fat than average regular crisps and the whole range is suitable for veggies.
Crispy Crackers come in Cream Cheese and Chive, Sun Ripened Sweet Chilli, Lightly Salted and Oven Roasted Onion & Rosemary flavours, whilst Pitta Bakes are available in Vintage Cheddar & Caramelised Onion, Roasted Red Pepper & Chilli and Oven Roasted Onion & Rosemary flavours.
I started with the Crispy Crackers and I was sent the Sun Ripened Sweet Chilli flavor. They come in 24g bags in a multi pack of 5 priced at around £1.89. Each pack contains 109 calories.
These were really tasty, the flavor was sweet with a very slight heat. I loved the cracker texture, it was almost like a really thin and light digestive biscuit.
The Pita Bakes also come in multipacks of 5x 24g packets with an RRP of £1.89 and 111 calories per pack. I was sent the Oven Roasted Onion & Rosemary flavor which if I am honest was not my cup of tea, however I did enjoy how light and crispy they were. I would be really keen to try the Vintage Cheddar & Caramelised Onion flavor.
I was pretty excited about the Crackers & Salsa as I am a big fan of crisps with dip. There is also a Caramelised Red Onion Chutney version. Both come with lightly salted multigrain crackers and have a RRP of £1.49. The bag of crackers is slightly bigger at 36g and my box contained 186 calories.
This was my favorite of the 3 snacks, the Roasted Red Pepper & Chilli salsa was delicious and there was just enough crisps vs dip. I will definitely be buying some more of these cute little boxes, what a lovely treat for one!
VerdictSome great additions to the Sunbites range, some interesting flavours and I love the idea of the crackers with a little pot of dip just for me!
