Warburtons Escapes - Spicy Chilli Jack
These Escapes were sent to me for review by Warburtons who very kindly sent a few different flavours to try and I started off with Spicy Chilli Jack with a hint of cheese because it sounded right up my street.
Escapes are the snacks formally known as Warburtons Baked Pitta Chips but I gather that there are now some new flavours in the range and Chilli Jack is one of them. They are available in 150g sharing bags or multi packs of 6 x 24g bags.  I was sent a 150g bag and a 30g serving contains 128 calories. They are also suitable for vegetarians,

As the same suggests, these are not potato crisps, they are in fact made from dried pitta bread. This means that they contain 45% less fat compared to standard crisps.
The Chill Jack flavor smells awesome, I could smell the chilli and cheese and also a hint of red pepper. They look a lot like tortilla chips due to the triangular shapes and the flavourings gave them a slightly reddish color.

Chilli Jack was a good as it smelt, it has a real Tex Mex feel to it with a bit a of a kick. The chilli gives a nice heat and the hint of cheese really complimented it. They reminded me a bit like enchiladas but in crisp form. The best thing about these however was the texture; they are just so light and crunchy!
Verdict
I loved Spicy Chilli Jack Warburons Escapes. The texture was great and the flavor was really strong and interesting.
