Whiteys Original Gourmet Popcorn is the 4th flavor that I have reviewed for them recently. Whiteys other flavours include Cocoa Original, Cinnamon Sweet and Maplecorn and they kindly sent me a bag of each to try, you can find links to my other reviews at the bottom of this post.
If you haven't caught up on my other reviews, Whiteys is a Cheshire based popcorn makers and is run by Mark (Whitey). He makes the popcorn in a container with no lid and so wears protective gear whilst doing so!
This Original flavor is described as the perfect blend and not too sweet and not too salty. In true Whiteys style it is some of the biggest, fluffiest popcorn that I have ever seen and like all of the other flavours is available to purchase from Whiteys online store and priced at £13 for 4 bags.
The popcorn looked nice and fresh and this was reflected in the texture when I bit into it. It was light and had nice crisp to it...I can't stand chewy popcorn. The taste was excellent, it was both sweet and salty as promised and yet again we happily munched our way through the whole bag.
Verdict Mr Review Addict and I have enjoyed every single flavor that we have tried from Whiteys and I wouldn't hesitate to order some more. I honestly think this is the best popcorn that I have ever tasted and the main reason is that Mark is clearly some sort of popcorn genius because he gets that sweet vs salty mix absolutely perfect. If I had to pick a favorite from the 4 flavours I would struggle as they are all fantastic! A big thank you to Whiteys for allowing me to review their popcorn!
