I think I do my best
Best part of the night by far was at the very end once the lights came on. The manager comes over, young guy, Julian, and as we're telling him about how we love his $2 Thursdays and how we float Guinness, he says, "Oh, you guys float Guinness? You guys gotta try this one that a beer rep called me and told me about last week. It's Guinness floated over Fireman's 4. It's called a "Blackdraft". He said the guy who came up with it drinks here."
How awesome is that? I come up with a Guinness float and a week later a total stranger is making the circle complete and telling me about it. "You're looking at the guy who created it, bro," I told him. That's how you end a night. I can't wait to have this book in my hands, complete.
Tonight almost didn't happen thanks to me. I got off work this morning, had breakfast, got busy with errands, the day passed by and before I knew it I'm having a quick bite around 7, ready to meet up with Hector at 8 at Jack Ash's. That's when I laid down on my couch. Fast forward 3 1/2 hours later and I'm waking up. I look at my phone, see the time, 11:30, along with a missed call and 3 missed texts from Hector. Damnit. I texted him back, and right at the stroke of midnight I was at Jack Ash's like a champ. That nap is no doubt why I'm wide awake now jamming out to Pantera at 4:55am.
Oh well. It's good to be alive. Stay thirsty my friends ;)
