The Night That Changed America

Fifty years ago today, The Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan Show.
That was the night that changed America...Music in the US - and my life - would never be the same...
The Night That Changed America
Both my hubby's and my parents were huge fans. It goes without saying that because of that we grew up listening to the Beatles and also becoming HUGE fans. How big? I begged, groveled and pleaded with Monsignor to approve ONE SONG to be sang as a surprise gift to my hubby at our Catholic wedding ceremony. One.Because secular music can not be played or sung during Catholic ceremonies, that ONE song had to be approved by the Archdiocese.
It wasn't until the week of our wedding.
Thank GOD for that, as all of our wedding programs were already printed prior to receiving the Archdiocese approval!!
That happens to be one of my favorite and most memorable aspects of our wedding day.
But that is just one of the many memories in my relationship with my hubby that includes the Beatles.
From our first road trip to Vegas, to the weekend my hubby moved in, and even when our dear Chatito passed, the Beatles music has a significant role in our lives.
That is just the start.
I know that as our marriage grows, so will the significance of the music that plays alongside those new memories.
Thank you John, Ringo, George and Paul for touching our lives
