So I'm trying out this journal app. I've always enjoyed keeping this blog, but I do notice from time to time that when I'm summarizing, say, a 3 day span, I'll forget a couple moments here and there. There's no way I could remember everything. Soooooo I found this new app and this is my excuse for playing with it now i'm hoping to leave out less of those forgotten moments by trying out this app: Day One. It lets your use it like a journal, keeping track of the date, time, and location of each post, even the weather, and let's you do this several times throughout the day. Then I just transfer those saved moments here. Like this moment.. rrrrrriiiiiiiiiight now. Lying in bed. Almost 1. Derek Jeter is the big breaking news on Sportscenter after hitting a walk off single in his last at bat at Yankee stadium to win the game. I'm driving engine 7 tomorrow. Looking forward to going to work actually. No reason why. Just looking forward to tomorrow.
See.
That feeling right there..
I'd have totally forgotten it.
Friday, 9/26, 11:48amOvercast skies this morning as i was headed for work. Driving Engine 7 today. I've come to absolutely enjoy these shifts where I'm driving the BRT. Hopefully we have a decent shift. So far so good. The huge hoagie sandwiches we just had for lunch were winners. Definitely need to add that to the regular rotation. Good job, Brice. (And since it's bothering you, BRT = Big Red Truck). :)

Inbetween calls here at the fire station sometimes our imaginations get the best of us. We've been coming up with short movie plots after a conversation about one of the guys wanting to write a book. "No, no, no.. what you'd need to do is write a screenplay.. Now *that* would be a way to reach more people.." No joke. This is an actual conversation we had that lasted more than just a few minutes. And then, of course, we're all suddenly directors coming up with ridiculously insane movie ideas. None of mine could ever actually be shot without my close friends thinking I'm clinically insane. It's amazing how we can start a conversation, go to a call, do our thing, and almost immediately fall right back into the conversation as we drive back to the station.. the conversation where we all regress to 15 year olds.
A quick vehicle fire to break up what was a perfect sleep. It never fails that when you have a slow day, once the sun goes down, the tones never stop going off at night. I'm gonna need a nap when I get home.
Saturday, 9/26, 9:46amShift over. Definitely time for a nap. After that fire the tones never stopped going off. It's all good. That's why we get two days off. Goodnight Guinness. [Note to self: try your hardest to dream about tomorrow being Sunday football funday. Note to self processing. Note to self accepted. Sweet] ;)
